Terms and Conditions of the Urban Sketching Festival

  1. The Urban Sketching Festival - hereinafter referred to as the "Festival" - is a cultural and artistic event organized by Świdnica Cultural Center in Świdnica, which is a municipal cultural institution with legal personality, organized by the Świdnica City Commune - hereinafter referred to as the "Organizer" together with volunteers from the Urban Sketchers Poland group.
  2. The festival takes place on August 12-15, 2023 in Świdnica.
  3. The organizer specifies in these regulations, called the "Regulations", the terms and conditions of participation in the Festival.
  4. The festival is not a mass event within the meaning of the provisions of the Act of March 20, 2009 on the safety of mass events (Journal of Laws of 2015, item 2139, as amended).
  5. During the Festival, participants are not allowed to:
    • carry out commercial, political and trade union activities and carry out fundraising without the Organiser's consent;
    • taking narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances;
    • kindle and fuel the fire and smoke tobacco;
  6. The Organizer may also record the course of the Festival, including participants, in order to document, archive and spread information about artistic activities undertaken by the Organizer. These data in the form of the image of the participants and the artistic works created by them may be published on the website and on the profiles of the Organizer and the Urban Sketchers Poland group and the Urban Sketchers organization in social media and online video services (e.g. Youtube, Instagram, Facebook). The organizer may use such record or a fragment thereof, including the image of the participant, without time and territorial restrictions, without the need to pay remuneration for using the image, in all fields of use.
  7. Participation in the events of the Festival is a simultaneous consent on the part of the participant to use his image, including publishing and processing his image in photos or videos made during the event.
  8. The organizer is entitled to record the course of the Festival, and in particular the behavior of participants, using video and sound recording devices.
  9. The scope of the Festival, including workshops and temporary exhibitions, may be limited by the Organizer due to reasons beyond his control (including unfavorable weather conditions that make it impossible to conduct the workshops), due to the safety of the Participants or the Organizer's legitimate interest. Limiting the scope of the Festival is not equivalent to canceling the Festival.
  10. In case of any changes to the law or recommendations or guidelines from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, the Ministry of Development, the Chief Sanitary Inspector or the relevant poviat sanitary inspector, these Regulations may be changed or supplemented, and Festival Participants (participants) are obliged to apply to the updated Regulations.
